Breathe A Little Better One Pranayama A Week

This book contains five manuals on Pranayama for lifestyle modifications: Mindful Eating, Gratitude, Diligence, Resilience, and Love.
Under each chapter/manual, there are ten concepts and related Pranayama practices. Thus one can practice one pranayama a week for almost the whole year. These exercises are built on concepts from an ancient secular Tamil literature called Thirukkural. My idea behind this is that while learning the Thirukkural shapes the mental framework, the lifestyle improvement can be reinforced by the practice of Pranayama.
Something special about this book:
There is a link to a video for each exercise. One can record and follow their daily practice. Chanting for each chapter is provided.
A quick reference table is given for each manual. These manuals can be used for research purposes too.
This book is a great gift to your friends on noble Tamil literature, Thirukkural and Pranayama!

The Golfer's Prana Breathe Your Way to Par

The Golfer’s Prana bridges two worlds: the ancient Tamil Siddha breathing science of Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian — cell biologist, certified Yoga Therapist, and TEDx speaker — and the fairway wisdom of Joshua Blair, a US Army veteran, yoga teacher, and associate member of the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America. Together, they reveal how the breath is the missing link between mental intention and physical execution on the course.
Drawing on decades of scientific research and nearly thirty years of yoga practice, the authors offer ten essential Pranayama exercises adapted specifically for golf — from the Water Pour Bhastrika that mirrors the mechanics of the swing, to the Fire Breath that incinerates first-tee jitters, to the Ocean Sound Breath that resets the nervous system after the round. A bonus Golfasana section brings targeted yoga stretches to the course itself, using nothing more than the golf cart as a prop.
This is not a book about swing mechanics. It is a book about what happens before the swing — in the body, the breath, and the six inches between the ears.
For weekend warriors and low handicappers alike, THE GOLFER’S PRANA offers a framework for playing more consistently, recovering more fully, and enjoying the game more deeply.
One breath at a time.

    Concise summaries of breathing exercises

Concise well written book on different breathing techniques in yoga. I found a number of exercises that I added to my routine. Each section was tightly focused on the steps that had to be followed.
