Mindful Eating with Pranayama

Hello everyone, Eating is not just about what you put into your body, but how you eat it. It’s about bringing awareness to every bite. We are excited to announce a new series on pranayama, a practice that can have profound, positive effects on your lifestyle. Our first module is “Mindful Eating with Pranayama,” a 10-week program that will be held every morning from 5:30 to 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Please be sure to check your local time online to join us at the correct time. Each week, we will focus on learning and practicing one new pranayama exercise. We’ll practice together for at least 24 minutes a day, Monday through Friday, giving you the weekends to practice on your own. By the end of this 10-week series, you will discover how your perception of eating has transformed. There is no fee to join this program. However, we sincerely appreciate any donations to the Thirumoolar Tamil Chair to support our work. Don’t stress if you can’t join us bright and early! We’ll post the video on YouTube so you can catch up and practice whenever you want. Come join us and change the way you breathe, eat, and love.

Wake up with Pranayama – April 2024

Join Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian for Morning Pranayama weekdays from 5:30-6am on Zoom. Learn yogic breathing exercises from the pioneer pranayama researcher and practitioner, Dr. Balasubramanian. No experience required. Recordings are available to watch throughout the day. Classes are $5 and you can sign up at http://tiny.cc/Prana4. We hope to see you there  Join Dr Sundar Balasubramanian for this 30 minute morning pranayama class at 5:30am EST. There is a $5 registration fee per session. All the registrants would get the recording of the day if they chose to practice at different times during the day. Recordings are a great way to improve your daily practice especially when you are in a different time zone.

Pranayama for Mindful Eating is a 10-week program to improve your healthy eating using Pranayama. Our methods will help you to watch when, how, what and how much you eat, and help regulate hunger using breathing regulation. Our methods are in use for the past 4 years in national award-winning integrative health program Healthy Charleston Challenge. Watch your improvement in 10-weeks! Starts this weekend, on Sunday January 23, 2022. Weekly recordings, manual, and supporting materials will be available.
