Meet your go-to expert in Pranayama, Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian

Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian is a cell biology researcher and the founder of PranaScience Institute. He has spent time researching yoga biology, and he is a certified yoga therapist. Through his pioneer research, Dr. Sundar has made significant discoveries about the benefits of Pranayama breathwork.

Dr. Sundar grew up in Tamilnadu, India, in a traditional Siddha medicine practicing family. He learned Pranayama, yoga postures, meditation, and Kirtan practices at a very young age. He now combines this traditional wisdom with his scientific research training to make these practices accessible to all.

Dr. Sundar is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and the Integral Yoga Teachers Association; he was also a speaker at TEDx Charleston 2015. Dr. Sundar is passionate about making these teachings available to a global audience.
